I set up a high interest savings account with E*Trade. The APY is 3.45% yea. I also set up a traditional IRA with E*Trade. Since I funded the account before April 15th I can claim the deduction on my 2007 taxes. Now that I am making money and don't have the student loans I have to start saving for retirement and the college accounts for the kids. I don't even have them yet but I know it will cost almost half a million with the rate at which college costs are increasing now.

he just asked me where is underwear is, does he expect me to know? he does. the sad part is, if i actually get up and look for them they will be in the first place i look.
i am not sure how i like using all lowercase. i think i do. it gets confusing, as in am i ignoring all punctuation. i need to just decide, punctuation like periods and commas stays just lowercase in.
oh yea, and i am also updating the tarraguña website.

Tonight is Salsa night; not the kind you eat; the kind you dance. I also wanted to tell you how much I really really really dont like the new Excel in the Microsoft Office 2007. When you finally know where everything is they come out with a new version. I am not a fan of Microsoft but I have to use it at work. I also have to link to my one of my favorite bloggers today. Her most recent entry goes through all the things she loved about smoking. You can read it here. She quit smoking 13 days ago.
Well I can sympothize with her. It has been over a year and a half since I quit smoking. The beginning is the most difficult. After the first month, provided you don't live with a smoker, it gets a lot better. You start to not even think about at all. It becomes a faint memory. Now everyonce and a while I catch a whiff of second-hand smoke and reminisce. Nothing has made me start again and now I have traveled to far from that place to return. I have past the point of new return.

So I have all of the pages now updated. I have not put in all of the content yet so most of the pages have a coming soon message. On a side note I am getting back into using twitter.

I spent a lot of time this evening updating the template for this website. I hope you like it. I moved from nested tables to CSS so it should load faster and have a smoother aperiance. I have not the update so some pages (most of the pages) show the old template. I guess that leaves us some time to compare.

Wow it has been a week since I last updated. It was a busy weekend. Friday we went Salsa dancing. Few of our friends and anyone else showed up. This was probably due to the snow falling. Probably about 2 inches fell. It was just enough to be annoying. Saturday morning we saw the movie 10,000 BC it was awsome. We went to the 11:30 am 5$ show which had a lot more people attending than some of the other early cheap shows we have previously been to. I wonder if that was due to the popularity of the movie or is it due to the huge increase in gas prices. At 4$ a gallon a matinee would be maybe a better choice than the regular 9 $ charge for an evening show. In the evening we breifly visited the new house that a couple we know just bought. I wrote about the experience here under the March 9 entry. I don't need to write anymore about that.... Anyways so I have been writing more on my ohter blog just because I can send entries by email. This blog I only have the option to upload by FTP. RIght, anyway and Sundy I remember being busy but I don't remember what we did. We did some cleaning. RFA was sick so he was a little bit of a poppy pants. And monday I started my second week working at my new job. I am going to really like it. I also investigated my health benefits and realized I don't even have a co-pay. I have never not had a co-pay. I also don't have a limit on how much over time I am able to work. This may be a good or a bad thing depending on how you look at it.

Day number 2 at my new job and things are still great. I did some "actual" work today. I got a little taste of what I will be doing and I think I will enjoy it just fine. I also spent some time going over my benefits and the pay and I spent a lot of time looking at the 401(k) plan. I tried to come up with a good way to fund it with the strongest growing funds for the longest period of time. I also inquired about the 529 College Savings plan. HR advised me they would look into the specs for me. They told me that currently no one is taking advantage of this option. I don't even have any kids yet but I know I will have 2 or 3 either by birth or by adoption. It will cost an even more outrageous amount of money to attend college in 20 years so I really feel that I should start saving now.
I told a friend about my new job and advised her of some of the other openings where I work. I hope she is able to join me. It sounds like her employeer is about to do some more layoffs. I hope she is not one of them.
I spent a lot of time updating my arabic project web site. I think some of my web sites are really starting to look nice.

I started a new job today. I am quite excited about the job but right now...at the beginning it is that boring part where you have not yet started anything. People have asked me what I do there and.... I kind of just have to say that I don't really know. I have a general idea but I dont know yet how it all works together. I guess when they ask they probably just want to hear the general explination and don't need the intricate details.
