Missing Obama While I Work

My husband is down at the local state fairgrounds today in order to see Obama speak along with a huge crowd of people. He just called me to tell me how neat it is to see a presidential candidate in person. Weather you are a McCain or Obama or an undecided voter you have to still be caught in awe in the midst of history in the making. Regardless of the outcome of whoever becomes president for the next four years this current presidential election had been and continues to be historic.
With information as free flowing as it is who knows what we will be taking about in the future: the first black male president, the first female vice president, or the hilarious SNL skits with Tina Fey and Amy Pollard. It is all relavant and incredibly historic.
And it is all happening while I am working 60 hours a week….. Am I missing it all?
At least I am missing out on the Economic Depression/ Recession turmoil that seems to doom every financial report of TV. Is it really that bad out there? Is the Dustbowl returning? I couldn’t see it if it were as I have my head down in a pile of paperwork.
* From the post’s title it may appear that I am an Obama supporter, but please let the record show that I am an undecided.
